It was great to get on the road in my home state of New York to help small/mid size businesses get online and expand their online exposure and presence.
More than 60% of businesses nationwide do not have a website and with the 100’s of people that attended these events we believe that number will drop (at least a little).
First Stop… Albany
Our first stop was hands down the nicest venue we’ve had the pleasure of presenting at. It was the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy , NY and we were in the EMPAC building. This place was stunning. Hoping to have some better photos soon but take a look at some below.
Shuffle Back to Buffalo
The second venue was the Embassy Suites in downtown Buffalo. As a UB alumni it was nice to be able to come back to WNY and offer a valuable service to Buffalonians. We had the pleasure of a visit from Mayor Byron Brown who spoke to attendees about the importance of programs like these in helping businesses succeed.
Additional details about the event can be found at www.NewYorkGetOnline.com and below are some photos of the Albany (Troy) and Buffalo Events.
What is New York Get Your Business Online?
Get Your Business Online is a program from Google that aims to support local businesses in an effort to get them online. 97% of consumers search online before making local purchases so it is extremely important that businesses have websites set up to capture those potential customers.
Free Website… Really?
That’s right. A partnership with Intuit allows attendees to setup a Free website and get 1 year of free hosting as well. Attendees set up a 3 page website with the ability to customize the: Domain Name, Theme/Design of the site, Photos, Verbiage and content through the pages, Set up custom contact forms, and More.
